THE PROBLEM
Project managers lack understanding of the IPECC project management model. Project managers need reference materials to support the implementation of the IPECC project management model.
THE SOLUTION
To solve this problem, I created an interactive job aid. The aid was developed using Adobe Captivate. The job aid was designed to be used by project managers with and without experience. The aid is responsive to user experience level and needs. In this way, the job aid can be used to teach the entire IPECC model to novice learners, and as a reference tool for more experienced users. The final product was easy to navigate, visually appealing, and designed for maximum retention of information.
PROCESS
The majority of reference materials for the project were adapted from Lynch, M. M. & Roecker, J. (2007). Project managing e-learning: A handbook for successful design, delivery and management. New York, NY: Routledge. I created an outline of the information and then a storyboard for the development of the job aid. I created visual mockups in Adobe XD and graphics using Canva. I developed the job aid in Adobe Captivate. Then, I reviewed, evaluated, and revised to reach the final product.
